September 4 2000	The PBS Lottery ¹ 5 September 1 2000 The 5th PBS lottery was raffled among the PBS members. Prizes of this Lottery: 2 100 000 banner displays and the Super-prize was the colour TV. August 28 2000	The date of the next PBS lottery was moved. Ladies and Gentlemen! The results of the PBS lottery ¹ 5 which took place on 21 of August will be published on September the 1st . It is caused by moving the date of the Lotteries from the twentieth of each month on its beginning. The changing the date of a lottery is connected with the moving of our company - sema.ru to the new Office.
August 19 2000	Ladies and Gentlemen! More and more different professional, specialised and corporate sites enter our network. From 4-9 till 16-17 new members get registered every day. Under the circumstances of the qualitative growth of the network, we assume the introduction of higher requirements to the banners quality. Probably to the 1st of September we assume to enter special additions to "face-control" for the banners, admitted to exchange. Attention! Those banners which are already admitted to the rotation in the network, won't be excluded from the banner exchange, even in case of complete discrepancy to the new rules. Basically, correct restrictions will be entered for some slogans and for the " The maximum allowable area of naked body to the general banner area " 8 -) We will pay more attention for the position, in which the essence is represented on banner: seating, standing, lieing, or trailing. And especially we will pay attention to the face expression of this essence just in this moment; -) Thus to give you and your web-masters more freedom in animation, we assume to increase the maximal admitted banner size.

4 àâãóñòà 2000ã.	The accident on the Rostelecon channels. Russian provider Rostelecom (70% of Russian internet users use it to go "abroad") had an accident with routers. Because of that foreign users had troubles in access of many Russian internet recourses (The PBS in particular). According to obtained information, the accident will be liquidated till the 7th of August (Monday). Given circumstances in no manner affect our internal Russian traffic and bannerexchange.
26 èþëÿ 2000ã.	The draw of the fourth PBS lottery was carried out. On July 25, the fourth lottery was carried out among the PBS members. More than 3 000 000 network displays were raffled. 10 èþëÿ 2000ã.	From July the 10th 2000 the following changes in the rules of the monthly PBS lottery are introduced. Namely: participants of the monthly lottery become those PBS members who have satisfied the following conditions: à) have placed the network banner code in the top part of pages of site; b) in a period from 10 to 20 days (inclusive) of sequential month, have sent an e-mail on loto@pbs.ru with application containing only two words: subject - LOTO., and in the body of the document - NUMBER of account in the PBS network. Dear members of the network! The next draw in the PBS lottery will be held on July 21, that means in 1,5 weeks. 28 èþíÿ 2000ã.	The PBS introduces the dynamic commission Ladies and gentlemen! For the increasing of effectiveness of PBS members' advertising companies and for the success of our commercial clients, and also for the quick transfer to the ransoms of network members' traffic, the PBS bannerexchange system introduces the dynamic calculation of the commission for the member - sites. The dynamic calculation of the commission raises the effectiveness of the network and also legalizes banner - generating resources of the network, which have high banner rotation, but low CTR (like games on-line, entertainment and so forth). And that won't cause censures of other members of exchange anymore.
22 èþíÿ 2000ã.	The third lottery among the PBS members was raffled! Ladies and Gentlemen! The third lottery among the PBS members was carried out. 14 members of our network became winners. 18 èþíÿ 2000ã.	Program of regional support The PBS Network began the program of support of regional firms and their web-servers. Now the official servers of regional firms in Russia and Ukraine have the right for «elevating» displays, without dependence from their own traffic at the rate of: 10 000 - in Russia, and 4 000 in Ukraine. 17 èþíÿ 2000ã.	Routine maintains In a period from June 17th till June 21th, the PBS network will make modernization of the system, caused by the regular technical rules. Convinced request to the network members: please, relate with understanding to the possible failures in the network in the specified period of time.
2 èþíÿ 2000ã.	The turnover of the PBS exceeded 6 millions displays per day. Dear members of the project! The administration of the network is glad to inform you, that one week prior of 'complete three months" from the moment of the network opening (PBS was officially opened on March the 8th this year) turnover of our network exceeded 6 000 000 displays per day. The administration of the network expresses a deep gratitude to all members without exception, and guarantees that it will do everything for the network, so it will continue it's growth in the quantitative and in the qualitative directions.
22 ìàÿ 2000ã.	The results of the May lottery were summed up. By results of the lottery, 19 members of the network became the prize-winners.
